2023 Performing Arts Campaign Contribution Recipient
Camerin Watson is a dancer, choreographer, director, producer and teaching artist. Watson graduated from UNCG in ‘07 with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography. In ‘18 she received her adaptive dance certification from Boston Ballet and started Expand Movement, a dance program for dancers with and without disabilities. Camerin is also the Artistic Director of Charlotte’s annual BOOM festival and sits on the board of Dance Artists Alliance CLT. Her choreography has been presented at Fringe festivals throughout the region, the NC Dance Festival, BOOM Festival, and as part of the Quasimodo Project at the 2012 DNC. Camerin believes that if you can breathe, you can dance, and that art should be an integral part of the fabric of daily life.
